Fusion Arts presents The Unbearables Celebrate Sex at Lambert Fine Arts - Part 1

This is the first post. I took too many pictures.

A reading of sex stories and poems.

The Unbearables, a drinking collective with a writing problem, gathered at Lambert Fine Arts - the former Fusion Arts Museum - on Stanton St. to read, say hi to each other, and to see and be seen.

There was a great crowd. It was standing room only. It would've been standing room only even if there were places to sit - which there weren't.

The readings were their usual quality. This not to damn with faint praise, nor a feint to avoid committing an opinion to paper. This was an exciting event filled with exciting, stimulating and often demanding works read by the people who wrote them. The audience was aroused.

Steve Dalachinsky

Poet Steve Dalachinsky was given an award - The Seymour Kafka award, or maybe it's the Franz Kafka award. Whether it was for being such a great building super and ridding the tenements of roaches - oh wait, that would be the Gregor Samsa prize - or for his poetry, which at its best is a true NY voice, he deserves this and more recognition. He is, like most poets in the USA now, a prophet without profits. Congratulations, Steve.
