I walk past Posman Books in Grand Central Terminal several times every week. The windows change, the people shopping change, and most of the people working there stay the same for months or years at a time.
It's a very good store. Packed into a compact space are a lot of titles on most subjects. It's right at the bottom of the ramp that leads to and from E. 42nd St. and Vanderbilt Ave.; on the corridor that leads to and from the 42nd St. Shuttle entrance, and I recommend a visit to browse and purchase. The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. That's three assets that often don't come in the same package in retail clerks in New York City. It's particularly gratifying to find a substantial level of expertise on books of many subjects distributed among the staff.
Usually, there's a lot of traffic walking by during the times I most commonly pass, either morning or evening rush hour. Sometimes the view of the store is blocked by National Guardsmen or MetroNorth Police standing in front, sometimes by the Police bubble cart, but not so often that I can't get good photos.
I want to thank the bookstore folks for letting me use their faces in these photos: Ron, Kat, Jen, Christina, Melissa, Greg, Kent, Alex, Wes, and anyone I missed, I'll correct this later. I have to look at all the photos to make sure I got everyone.
Clicking on a photo will enlarge it.

Catching up with The Unbearables
Back in February there was a get-together of The Unbearables, specifically people who've got a piece in their next, very-soon to be published collection, The Unbearables Big Book of Sex. It was at a bar/cafe in the East Village, The Life Cafe. I had my camera with me and I took a few pictures. I planned on making them into a slide show, and sooner or later, I will, probably sooner. In the meantime, interested parties can peruse them here.
