The domestic architecture of the Chautauqua Institution is picturesque, and the styles are dominated in its core districts by the Arts & Crafts or, as it is known in the USA, the American Craftsman movement. This is unsurprising since the Institution is not far from East Aurora, NY, where the influential Roycroft Community was located.
I am not terribly happy with my photos. They were shot hand held, with fairly short exposures. They are an accidental selection, determined by what I passed during a desultory stroll through the community the afternoon before I was leaving for home.
