For four months this year, from mid-April to mid-July, a person walking along Madison Ave. south of E. 42nd St. and paying attention, would've noticed the empty storefront at the corner of E. 40th and Madison occupied by some lovely motorcycles. Not the big metal Harley Davidson type, but rather sleek Italian bikes.
Since then plenty of folk have posted photos taken in the former Hallmark card store, stripped to the cement walls and floors, but they aren't MY photos.
Here's some of mine.

I've been away doing other things
I got busy with something else. What can I say? I wrote a novel, now I'm done. I will eventually get around to editing and revising it, but I can't do it yet because when I've finished with it, it's still too fresh.
And I don't really like reading fiction so reading my own novel is a dilemma.
Here's a few photos of some new friends. They work at a skin care studio a few doors down from my office, and they are all very nice

An Act of Kindness About to Happen
I saw this today in Midtown Manhattan.
The woman got money out of her purse and put it in the poor person's box. I told her she did good.

A negative energy vortex where Posman books used to be
I walked past Posman Books in Grand Central Terminal on Saturday afternoon, January 3 2015. The windows were decorated as I never saw them before, which is to say they were bare, covered in green film. There was no way of knowing that a bookstore grew there. It wasn't the first bookstore in Grand Central Terminal and I hope it won't be the last.
BUT A MAJOR TRANSPORTATION HUB - GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL - WITHOUT A BOOKSTORE IS CRIMINAL.
This bookstore closed because GCT decided it didn't need a bookstore - it was profitable and popular. If the people who run the real estate wanted to find another place for it, they could have. Instead there are a swarm of coffee stands, several places to buy ice cream, flowers, many newsstands, an Apple Store that was rumored to have been given a special deal, but no bookstores.
Pathetic.
