Monday - A very small post

Just three photos shot at a very active location I walk past whenever I go to the office. Formerly, it was two buildings and in those buildings were housed the headquarters of Chase Bank and a large number of employees of JPMorganChase. They ran out of room and rather than move to a new locatoin that might have been inconvenient for many of the employees, they chose to rent space all around the area and deconstruct both buildings and then build a new building, or perhaps two. I don't know which it is. This has been going on now for about two years. I've taken many photos of this while it was happening including a few of dumpsters full of debris descending from very high to be loaded onto the trailer of a truck and driven away to be unloaded somewhere in NJ.

Last summer, the building on Madison Ave. between E. 47th and E. 48th St. was completely removed and the subsurface area was being cleared.  While I was away sheltering from the second Covid-19 wave this past fall and winter, the basements were completed and the new building started to rise. That's what these are about. I'll be posting plenty more as spring moves to summer, and beyond.

The building on the Park Ave. side of the lot is now completely down and the next stage is about to begin.
