Wednesday - Westchester is opening up! Yay! Out of doors restaurant dining here I come

Okay, I probably won't do it until the weekend. I read in the local weekly, the Examiner News, that Pleasantville will allow outside dining and the village will close a street to allow restaurants to serve as the county goes into the next stage of reopening.

Today, I got a call from the local library that a book I reserved was ready to be picked up. It was odd- curbside pickup at the library is a tent over a pair of library carts with books inside a paper bag with the borrower's name on it, already checked out, and only one user in the tent at a time. But hooray! I miss the library.
(For those of you who don't know, which I guess is probably all of you, I worked for the NYPL in the mid 1970s and a local library is always one of my favorite places.)

And in the outside world, John Bolton, no hero of mine, in his too late to get sTrumpet convicted book, tells all - how sTrumpet wanted journalists executed, pled with the Chinese to buy US agricultural goods to help his reelection, and maybe even - ssssh - conspired with the Russians.

Nothing bad said about the Ahole-in-Chief surprises me, and now, after seeing the video from West Point again, and the ads that the Lincoln Republicans are running, sTrumpet is too frail and demented to be a president. He certainly has shown a lack of leadership skill the past several months, no, make that years. The only thing that matters to Donald fucking sTrumpet is Donald. He doesn't care about the country, the people and when he opens his mouth, he spews lies, calumnies and his own fake news.

Enough. It's too pleasant today to stay angry.

The photos tonight are from two separate occasions. Three were shot at the famous (well sort of famous) Roscoe Diner in Roscoe, NY. It used to be open 24 hours but times change, the Catskills changed but they are still there.

The others were shot one evening in the Astor Place subway station, on the uptown platform.
